Time to Order Tax Forms, Paper, & Supplies!

Orders will be due September 15, 2017. Orders received after September 15th will incur a $35 late fee.

It is rapidly approaching that time of year again, and it’s time to place your order for 2017 tax forms and supplies.  Keep in mind that both forms and supplies are in short supply in December and January.  If you miss out on ordering now or forget something that you need, it may not be available later.  The order forms (included in this blog) are fillable PDFs.  This means you can key your order directly, print as PDF to save your changes, and email it back….no need to physically print and scan or fax!

Please read the following information thoroughly and order carefully!

If you provide paper forms/copies to your employees and vendors you have 3 options:

  1. Print Service – Premium Service offered by RDA.
  2. Blank Tax Forms – Purchase blank tax forms to print W2/1095/1099 information on.
  3. Download PDF forms and print tax forms on regular copy paper.

PDF Downloads with OpenRDA:

Just as you have in the past, you can continue to use the pdf download feature in our software to create your W2s, 1095s, and 1099s.  Your OpenRDA software will create the form and populate the appropriate data.  The forms can be printed on plain copy paper. Keep in mind, this option requires that you print both the front of the form and the instructions that go on the back of the form.   • RDA’s services to print, stuff and seal your W2s, 1095s, and 1099s.
  • Options to customize your order by specifying your sorting and delivery preferences.
  • Options for RDA to electronically file your W2s.

2017 Tax Forms and Supplies offers:
  • Perforated paper for W2s and 1099s. Perforated paper makes folding and stuffing forms into envelopes easier. This paper will also save toner as the standard IRS instructions are pre-printed on the back of the sheets.  Fronts are blank to allow your OpenRDA software to print the form.
  • Preprinted forms for those that paper file W2s and 1099s.
  • Double window envelopes specifically designed for W2s and 1099s.
  • Options for RDA to electronically file your W2s.
Important Facts, Tips, and Info for 2017 Tax Forms:
  • Continuous Feed forms will NOT be supported in 2017.  Do not order these forms through a 3rd party. They will not work with our software.
  • Forms purchased through any 3rd party vendor will not work with our software.  If you purchase forms through a 3rd party vendor, you will have to fill them out by hand.
  • If there is a need to print employer copies of W2s and 1095s, use plain copy paper instead of the more costly perforated paper. And use the print options that only print the front of the form to save on toner.
  • If you use the pdf download for printing 1099s, you will have to electronically file your 1099s with the IRS. To paper file 1099s, red Copy A forms are required. If you are using the pdf download, you can not print a Copy A in the required red ink without extensive testing. Electronically filing 1099s is not difficult but does require advance registration. If you want to paper file your 1099s, please order the pre-printed forms.
  • If you are ordering perforated paper for 1099s, keep in mind that 2 vendors print per page, but you will be printing 3 copies: Copy B, C and 2.  So if you have 20 vendors, you would need 30 pages of perforated paper.
