RDA is pleased to announce two new Team Members – Joshua Smith and Jack Putnam. ย Many of you may have already spoken with Josh on the phone, as his primary responsibility is providing technical support via the Help Desk. ย Jack joined RDA initially as an intern, but was soon brought on full-time to assist our Product Team with Q&A testing and various other development needs. Please join us in welcoming both to the RDA Team!
Joshua Smith
My name is Joshua Smith. I’m a self-admitted family man, and live in Canton GA with my beautiful wife and two children. I joined the RDA support team in October during my last semester at Chattahoochee Tech where I received my AAS in computer programming. Prior to coming to RDA, I worked as a warehouse manager for a large tile company. Not really helpful in technology, but I learned a lot of lessons that can be applied here – mainly that each customer, despite the circumstance, deserves a good customer service experience.
When I first started at RDA, I was taken back by the deep level of intelligence of everyone here – ย not just pertaining to their product, but to the industry as a whole. Due to the fact that I had no industry experience besides what I’d learned in school, I was more than overwhelmed with the challenges facing my transition.
Every single person here has been more than accepting and has helped me with a level of understanding and respect that I’m not sure exists elsewhere – it’s very much like a family. Thanks to this, with each passing day, I learn a new skill that’s allowing me to better assist and serve RDA customers.
I’m honored and excited to be given the opportunity to work with you all, and look forward to being able to build on our relationships soon!
Jack Putnam
Hello! My name is Jack Putnam and I’ve lived in Woodstock, Georgia for most of my life. Ever since I was very young, I’ve had an affinity for computers. In college, I switched majors from biology when I realized I was counting the days until the next class of my programming elective. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems. In my free time I enjoy playing videogames, reading, and watching TV.
I started at RDA in October, and, although my duties primarily involve software development and testing, I’ll give my all to whatever’s needed. I’m very happy to be able to put my existing skills to use and learn new skills. I look forward to working with all the great people here!
