GENERIC SETUP VARIABLE: DEFAULT DUPLEX PRINTING

A new generic setup variable has been created to facilitate duplex printing for an organization. This is accessed via System Administration –> Version Control –> Setup, Generic Setup Variables (on the Attributes tab). When running updates (Version Control) to Utilities with programs having a compiled date of 01/12/2013 or later, the setup variable will create and will automatically be set so that printing does NOT default to duplex. If duplex printing is the preferred default for the organization, the variable will need to be turned on (checked). Since this is a default, the default can be overridden when sending the report to a printer by changing the Print Type when the report’s Device Window displays.
