Independence Day 2021

Last year, for our Independence Day blog post, we put out a call to do something kind for a neighbor, to celebrate the American Spirit that binds us all together. We continue that call to kindness and humility as we celebrate this holiday weekend with family. Some of you will be seeing family and friends that you haven’t seen in over a year, due to the pandemic. As we celebrate the holiday weekend, Galatians 5:13-14 gives us a beautiful reminder about our freedom …

“You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Freedom takes on many meanings for many people, but it should never be taken for granted. As Americans, we may have had to give up some of our usual comforts over the past year, but we remain free.

Our offices will be closed on Friday, July 2 and Monday, July 5 in observance of our independence.
