I’m Ennis and I recently joined RDA as the Product Team Coach. Iโm pretty sure a blog post is not enough to convey just how excited I am to be here. Over the years, Iโve had the opportunity to build software solutions for a wide variety of businesses. And, although I did spend many formative years in the finance industry, I am quickly discovering the unique challenges we face each day in the world of fund accounting.
I am a Georgia native. I grew up in a small town called Swainsboro and went to school in Atlanta. After several years of working in Georgia and South Carolina, my career led me to New York City. Thatโs where I met my lovely wife who happens to be from Louisiana. You know the old typical boy leaves home, girl leaves home, they meet in Manhattan and move back south love story. We have a little girl whoโs turning one this month. In November, weโll be welcoming our second daughter into the world. So yeah, other than that, not much happening with me.
So far, my role here at RDA has been energizing. Iโm thrilled to be a part of a team that values customer service so highly. Iโm optimistic about the plans we have for OpenRDA. And Iโm happy to be tackling the challenges head on. For the last 8 years, I think I was legally bound to not share any financial advice, stock tips, predictions, etc. So with my new found freedom here in Canton, let me say I am buying and holding. Bullish on RDA, all day long.
The Product Team is nearing the end of development on OpenRDA 4.0. Bringing OpenRDA into the browser is a major step forward both for usability and for deployment. We’re already working hard on new ideas for solutions that will continue to empower our users. Iโm looking forward to introducing features and tools that will help make your work life a little easier.
Here at RDA, we believe in doing things the right way. Measure twice, cut once, as they say. Our OpenRDA suite provides powerful and flexible solutions for performing accurate accounting. My vision for our products is to preserve that power and flexibility while introducing some modern touches. At the end of the day, I believe user experience is the key to getting the job done efficiently. I want to see us continuously improving the OpenRDA user experience.
Hope you enjoyed the virtual introduction.
