VEC iFILE

The VEC iFILE report has been modified so that the URL (on the DOS COPY window) is webupload. The file that this process creates has also been changed so that the 10-digit VEC Employer Number is right justified and padded with zeroes. A printout is not provided as each line of the file is 512 characters following the EFW2 format (a document in pdf format is automatically created in Payroll’s electronic filing cabinet). Employers reporting 100 or more employees in a calendar quarter must file via magnetic media or Internet. Files submitted via the Internet are more secure than magnetic media, do not need to be encrypted, and validation takes places prior to upload.
Use of this file requires an active, unemployment deduction description that is assigned to all covered employees.
