Welcome Our New Team Member In Customer Care

 Allow me to introduce myself …

joymMy name is Joy McWhirter, and I’m thrilled to have joined RDA as a Customer Care Representative in July 2014. In this role, I train and support customers our Revenue Modules, and I support user-related issues involving Financial Management, Vendor Payments and Purchase Orders. Assisting customers is the most rewarding part of my day.

I joined RDA because I was ready for a change. I wanted to transition from managing monthly accounting cycles, to a role that fits with my passion for helping others. I always considered this type of position to be my dream job, so when RDA invited me to join its family, I knew I was home. I love sharing the knowledge I’ve learned with current RDA customers and future RDA customers.

My qualifications for this role include a BBS in Accounting from Clemson University, and nearly 20 years of experience in finance working for respective Fortune 500 companies.

On a personal note, I grew up in a small town outside of Greenville, South Carolina. My brother and I both attended Clemson University, and, after I worked in Austin, Texas as an internal auditor for three years. A job opportunity to work in revenue recognition presented itself in Atlanta. This allowed me to be closer to my brother and family in South Carolina.

Soon after moving to Georgia, I met and married my husband, David, in May 2007. We moved to Canton in 2009, where David is a Project Manager for a large deck building company. We currently have just one child – a horse named Gracie! I obviously enjoy horseback riding and many horse-related activities, and I also love running, spending time with my family and watching college football with my husband.
