A change has been made to the Make Transactions process when errors are detected. Once the errors have been printed (to the screen or to an actual printer), the Undo Make Transactions process will automatically occur. This eliminates the need to separately undo make transactions when errors are detected (the most common errors pertain to expenditure codes not existing or not active in Financial Management). After the errors have been corrected, Make Transactions needs to be executed again until no errors are detected by the program.
The Job and Personnel Demographics Export report has been modified to include School Grade and School Subject. These are two new fields in Personnel Demographics (on the Identifiers tab) that display when the organization type is school. The report produces a tab-delimited file in the /rda/xpert directory as well as in Payroll’s E-Documents. It selects based on active employee deductions and active deduction descriptions. One record for an employee is produced (since the number of jobs cannot be predicted, only the first job will have column headers). No deduction information will be included in the file. The use of deduction information in the selection criteria allows record selection to be refined. For example, ranging on Deduction type of HEALTH-M would cause the file to only include personnel and job-related information for employees having active deductions of that type. The Job-Related Range fields can be used to further refine the selection (for example, you could range on gross identification to only select certain jobs; this is particularly useful when employees have more than one job). This report is accessed from the General Payroll Info reports anchor in OpenRDA.
Assigning of check numbers for vendor withholding checks will now use the Default Check Detail setting from the vendor master (this was previously only applicable to AP checks). Vendors that normally experience check overflow (automatic voiding when vouchers are more than the check style’s body count) can have this setting turned off (not checked). Printing and archiving of vendor checks have been modified so that the check stub will indicate SEE ATTACHED LIST FOR CHECK DETAIL when Default Check Detail is off/false for the vendor. A new voucher detail advice report has been created that can be printed to accompany such checks. It is on the OpenRDA task bar in Payroll Vendor Withholding (on Withholding Advice anchor). Unlike the two other Advice reports which are at the employee level, this one displays the transactional vendor withholding vouchers.
The Total Fiscal Year Payroll Expense Report by Employee has been modified to allow for an optional sort (with totals) by pay location (as assigned in Personnel Demographics). This report is accessed in OpenRDA from Accounting Reports. Displayed in the report are salary/gross and expensed employer-paid benefits. Employer deductions can be excluded, however, or listed in detail (deduction level rather than summary total).
The report for zeroing correction amounts from employee deduction masters has been added to the Finish tab of Payroll’s taskbar inOpenRDA. It will automaticfally display for OpenRDA Enterprise but only for OpenRDA 101 customers with the optional Software Bundle PR24 Correcting Amounts. This report is also available via Maintenance on the Resource Bar.
The Deduction and Personnel Demographics Export is an OpenRDA report available from Deduction Reports menu in the Payroll module. It produces a tab-delimited file and displays information from Personnel Demographics as well as Employee Deduction Masters. The report has been modified to include Retirement Plan (as assigned to personnel demographics) and School Grade andSchool Subject (the latter two fields are also from personnel demographics but only display if the organization type is School).
