God Given Gifts – Happy Labor Day
Everyone has gifts. Some might be great at math, some might be great writers. There are those that are inherently caring about their neighbors, and those that never forget a birthday. You may be exceptionally strong, intelligent, agile, adaptive to change, a critical thinker, a born problem-solver, or have any number of gifts that you use to excel at your given occupation.
We are called to use our gifts to serve others. Colossians 3:23 reminds us of this very idea. โWork willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.โ
With this idea in mind, we are reminded that there are folks out there who work selflessly, sometimes in harmโs way, to make this world a better place. The police officers that work to keep our neighborhoods safe. The firefighters that put their bodies in danger to keep ours out of danger. The teachers that are bringing up the next generation of young leaders. The government workers that work toward the betterment of our society. These workers and many more like them all have special gifts that help to make our world a better place.
At RDA, we applaud and admire the labors of these gifted people. We will be closed on Monday, September 7 in their honor.
